I kinda have a mountain of WIPs stretching back a year in my server that still aren't finished to my liking, but, to share literally -anything- publicly this month, here's a glimpse at a recent WIP I'm very happy with so far :3 #furryart #rivet #elora

Rivet & Elora, very close

oh yeah they fwahkin-

As someone with depression and existential dread, I totally get it. Its hard to stand up when the world keeps kicking you down. But you look so badass every time you stand back up. We're gonna spit out a tooth and brace ourselves for the next swing, but they'll get tired eventually, then we hit back

whenever Columbo is on the case of a suspect in a field he doesn't know much about, there's often scenes of him excitedly revealing he's been studying all about it, to the annoyance of the more prudish murders all to say, seeing him ramble about furry commonalities would be amazing, so I wrote this:

"Columbo, what are you doing here?! It doesn't matter, I don't have ti-"

"Oh! Glad to run into you, sir. Say, this place is amazing! Studying up on the community doesn't really get across the sheer sense of togetherness this whole furry thing has got going for it."

"I'm glad your appreciative of it, though not everyone here is together. Those of us that prefer to remain clean of mind and art are frankly outnumbered."

"Oh well, that may be, but I don't think I've talked with a single unpleasant person outside or in the main hall. I don't really get all their interests, but so many here certainly got talent to back it up."

"That's one word for it."

"Like I didn't realize so many of these characters that get drawn are other people. Like representative. They call 'em fursonas- Though I'm sure you already know that, pardon me. Like some consider their character to be themselves, and other people recognize them as it. I don't fully get it, but it must be liberatin', and they're happy, can't fault them for that."

"Yes, making your own characters is a basic thing, a sona is so much more. And most of them debase theirs in- euh, say Columbo, have you considered what you might be?"

"Who me? I haven't given it much thought, but my wife, she's just become enamored with the idea. She does a bit of drawin' now and then, and she already came up with one of those 'sonas, right? An adorable black cat with piercing eyes, and blue, uh, what're they called... stripes! down it's back, and a collar decorated with her favorite flowers."

"I see, how hopelessly generic."

"Well, I thought it was nice. And some of them other artists say the point of these 'sona things is to make it whatever you want. And she loves that cat-person so much she asked me to look into one of those um, furs, uh, oh hang on, fursoom, fursus...""Fursuit?"

"Yeah! That. Well I had a gander, talked with some of the makers here on prices and how they're made and such, and well, I completely understand the cost, but on my salary? Forget it. I mean I have the utmost respect for the craftwork of those things, I couldn't believe how clever some of the gizmos inside of one of those things are, like the eyes creating an optical illusion that they follow you around, and you can see out of them! Did you know they can even put little fans inside the head?"

"Yes. Now if you don't mind I really have to be go-"

"-and even then they can still be sweating up a storm! Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to be a bother, but I'm glad I ran into you cause I had question."

"Then please get to one! I have an important panel I have to get to immediately."

"Oh, absolutely, I just wanted to know. Do you have any recommendations for artists? Ones that take commissions? I may not be able to afford to get my wife a suit, even a partial, but I think I'd be nice to get her some pieces of her new 'sona. Safe for work-only ones of course. I thought you might know since uh, since that's your specialty."

"Lieutenant, even if I did want to to send my associates some new business, that last thing I would want is to subject them to your incessant trivial questioning! Reputation means everything in this community, especially those of use trying to stay above the filthy reprobates that litter the fandom with their sssmut! Why don't you go cohort with some of them, you'll find several that do barely disguised SFW art. Bother them, and leave me and my associates alone.""Oh of course I- Oh! Just one more thing!"

"YES?"

"Do you know which way the Artist Alley is, no matter how many times I keep reading this, rather beautifully design convention map, I ah, just keep gettin' lost."

"Tch, then you'll find it in no time. Most of the people in there are equally, lost."

Villain walks off. Columbo does a signature smirk to himself. Commercial break. Followed by a scene of him chatting with various pleasant NSFW & SFW artists chatting about the nicer, more open aspects of the fandom, and occasional joke moments about how squeamish he is around the censored art sale displays. He learns more niche things tho that eventually help him catch the pompus SFW-only oaf that has skeletons in the closet.

Oh and ah, one more thing that's been botherin' me. You say you're a 'SFW-Only' artist, but... Earlier when I complimented the details on the mouth you drew -- excellently done by the way, you're real talented -- you ah, You called it a maw.

We really should stop calling it "age verification." Because that is not what it is. Call it "forced doxxing" instead. Most people think the concept of age verification and protecting kids online is common sense. So we must rebrand it to reveal its true purpose, which is something they will fear.

Fuck your age verification laws. You can tell how old I am by observing how fat and hairy my nuts are while you are sucking them from the back.
