Another complaint: the more I read books, the more I dread the fact that my access is limited to ebooks because I can’t afford paperback anymore IN THIS ECONOMY, especially for English language/translation ones. It’s difficult to turn the pages back to a certain part, let alone annotate.
Very regional complaint but the whole “aku kamu” to show intimacy and romantic closeness is so weird to me because I’m autistic and to me it’s a safer pronoun option because it’s between casual and polite ergo I use it to people I’m not yet close AND I LIVE IN SOUTH JAKARTA
I’m currently replaying chiikawa anime every morning on TV and I told my dad about famine arc and how free food will replenish when chiikawas are eaten by monsters and I said “maybe we should get those world leaders and billionaires eaten by monsters so we’ll prosper again collectively”

The amount of volcanic ashes has reduced since this morning. We’re still advised to stay indoors. No significant updates other than whoever is traveling via airways need a complete reschedule.
Currently Mengkok and I are sheltering in my room, it’s relatively safe from the ashes. I think my house is ventilated enough for it to circulate although it’s still affected. I’m temperature sensitive unfortunately and we’re experiencing an awful summer and no AC while the ashes are still airborne.
Earthquake in East Nusa Tenggara, Borneo forests are burning, a heritage village in Lombok is burning, Sumatra not yet recovered, Papua is burning too, AND KRAKATOA ERUPTION — ALL LESS THAN SIX MONTHS and we’re under an oppressive and fascist oligarch 😭😭😭
Tidied up my stuff and I took a good stare at my Snoopy necklace I got from my first trip to Japan during my teen years and it felt different when compared to all the Japan goods I bought with my hard earned adult money last year 🥲

As someone who grew up with Happy Tree Friends and love Chiikawa, I can assure you that both is not the same and I’m tired reading people equating the two
I’m an extreme horror reader and I’d put animated siren arc (chiikawa) high up there with books that ruined me
