I think part of the pain of online censorship is that we curated these spaces as a compromise because the real world was hostile. I compromised down from in-person gatherings because capital already made those spaces hostile, you already killed my mall now you're coming for my discord server?
Toby, like just about every other writer who has a head on their shoulders, likes dealing with problematic stuff. The world is messy. People fuck up, they do things they shouldn't do, did things they shouldn't have. Heavily flawed people make for more interesting stories.
