The Nairobi Policy Dialogue on Mobility & Climate Change in the East & Horn of Africa wrapped up today. The CTA that stood out is to localise global and regional frameworks. Policy matters, but so do local knowledge and institutions, and frameworks must be built from the ground up.

Surveys with 2,229 Syrians returning from abroad - mainly Türkiye (56%), Lebanon (30%) & Jordan (9%).   89% said return was completely their decision. 25% also cited difficulties in host country: discrimination, lack of prospects, insecurity, violations & abuse. More findings:
