I think if you're unsatisfied with Nintendo because you need more friction, then I recommend other games and devs. Some ppl just grow up focused on Nintendo only and dont realize they may be aged out of certain level or franchises. Pokemon too easy? Try SMT. Need harder platformers? Check indies!

Last night I watched DaThings' YTP "Speedfolded" and I truly think the idea of the speedrunner Bubzia having an opposite counterpart named AntiBubzia who cancels out all of Bubzia's speedruns by simultaneously performing the same speedruns backwards is the funniest joke I've ever seen in a YTP.
This is one of the more frustrating things about live games, among many — they’ve recalibrated player expectations toward an endless drip feed such that a complete, kickass, regular game gets incorrect or even toxic feedback. Not every game is meant to be your job!
