My wife, a middle-aged, middle-class White woman, just took a bus to the Duff Transit Center and then, another bus to her destination, arrived on time, and did it all without posting photos of herself on social media! I am so proud of her! May we all (European- & Asian-Americans) follow her example!
I agree with @katemanne.bsky.social about a hard NO toward sexual strangulation (katemanne.substack.com/p/how-sex-po...), especially considering its potential for brain damage. I hope that Manne also tells the Cornell admins. to end the football program. It, too, causes demonstrable brain damage.

Stifling the news (when they are self-censoring enough already) is not a good look. No one claimed that walking outside the crosswalk is illegal, simply that, here, it is what happened. The news should report every relevant fact in every news story, of which this is one.

I think that I would rather ride with a driver who drives carefully & defensively rather than one who thinks that he is seeing everything perfectly at all times and drives perfectly, too. I'm sorry that Chris Bowe wants to score cheap points rather than work toward a solution.

Today is the day. Thanks to the day that I was born (6/25/59), I am, today, February 25th 2026, 66 years and eight months old, meaning that, today, I am two-thirds of the way to 100 years old. This probably deserves a small cake. I'm thinking of having written on top, in frosting, "2/3 · 100."
At 8:52, @themanaen.bsky.social begins a paragraph for the second time. He stops, says, "Okay, I'm reading the same fucking thing I wrote" (www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDD3...). Of course, I hope that he's reading what he wrote, but not what he just read. This all raises the question: How stoned is he?

C.M. Welsch lives in a house quitclaimed to her husband from his mother back in '97. It's on 71% of an acre, zoned RS10. Welsch protected it from the massive re-zoning she attempted to impose onto her constituents earlier this year. So: double ouch.
