I am down 26 pounds since the conclusion of my book tour at the end of April. I am feeling so much better. Still need to drop 35 or so.

Today, I got my final paycheck as a teacher. I'm going to miss my school, the students, my awesome colleagues. But I'm very excited about my future as a full-time author.

For struggling querying writers: A "no" right now, or a "no" for this book, may not mean a "no" for you or your writing forever. I wrote 5 books that were all a "no" before I wrote one that got a "yes." Now, I will have 7 books that got a "yes" by the end of 2029. Keep going!

Just returned home and this is the first time I will have a month off between author events since March when DOWNFALL launched. Which is nice because I'm in dev edits for BRIGHT SKY, and I'm due to turn it back in mid-September. Next event is at Barnes & Noble in Sandy on 8/29.

This weekend, I'll be at YAMidwest in Naperville, Illinois. I'll have four panels tomorrow and a book signing.

Some readers will like your books. Some will become obsessed and create fan art. Some will be indifferent about them. Some will dislike them. And some will be personally offended they even exist.

Living my dream! I've been lucky enough to visit so many places since I first got published in January 2024! I keep adding pins. I'm hopeful the number of places only continues to grow and that I can meet you and sign a book for you!

Returned home from vacation to find a kind and thoughtful handwritten letter from a fan in my mailbox. Very lucky to share my stories with readers!

Just saw Supergirl with my girls. We all had a good time! 😀

Just crossed 20,000 words in my WIP. Making good progress, and I'm hoping to get edit notes for my last book soonish, too!

Sometimes I have to pinch myself when I remember that by the end of 2029, I will be a published author of seven books. It took me twenty years, and five shelved books, to finally get an agent and a book deal. I will never take any of this for granted. I am so so lucky.
