What to say? Retired from the corporate rat race. Fly fish, hike, and backpack but age and knees falling apart have seriously limited ability. But I’m still out there

Smoke from the fire this morning from the Warm Springs Reservation fire. My heart goes out to them. The Akawa fire that threatened Sisters still has residual hot spots that our brave firefighters continued ur to mop up but it’s thankfully almost done

I have never had tomatoes except cherries this early. Especially true in central Oregon’s high desert. Tomatoes are tough to grow here bc of cool nights (50s) and blistering hot days/weeks at times. This year has had some hot ones but mostly ok w/ cool nights #tomatoes

A bit of a mess in Oregon with all of the raging fires caused by lightning strikes. Eastern Oregon has many big fires & the one close to home is the Akawa Butte fire near Sisters where it’s knocking at their door with evacuation alerts. Tonight looks better after the big rain yesterday

A grand weekend at Natural Bridges OR. The ranger station shockingly said camp fires were allowed in fire ring. Shockingly because there’s a fire 35 or so miles south. Built a fire the next morning & as it died out the fire service came by to say no more fires allowed. Good

Took me a few minutes. Sometimes I think it’s harder with a bunch of correct letters with the first word. Wordle 1,846 2/6 🟩⬜⬜🟩🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

Kelloggs breakfast. The most yummy yellow but I’ve never had great luck with them Sprayed the BT Monterey bacteria on the tomatoes to ward off/kill horn worms, dumped bunches of blood meal to scare off the awful rock chuck, & put out oil and soy sauce traps for ear wigs.

Camping on the Rogue River near Crater Lake Oregon. Beautiful, serene, and quiet. Kinda shocked do many camp sites open in a very popular camp ground. Price of gas? Increased fees to $15/night for pit toilets and no potable water to offset budget cuts? Dunno
