Just my tuppence worth but I reckon a good way to approach paying artists who play at a festival is to pay the lowest fees first.
How long after a festival set should you expect to receive payment? I don't play enough of them to know if there's a reasonable wait time before chasing up.
Sometimes I have no idea why I do music when this film and this book are the works of art which had the greatest impact on me. They're so powerful I have to think carefully about when to experience them as they'll affect everything for a long while after.
I'm just a cat pic guy now. Some music at some point but who cares.
