I wanted to try repacking the Celeste video a bit, so I was drawing out thumbnails when I ended up really attached to the rough looking sketch. Ended up just cleaning it up a bit and adding some effects. I actually really like this and wonder how it'll do versus my usual style.

Got 10k words on the next script and still got a good bit to go. This is probably gonna be a pretty long one, though I'll try to compress it down a reasonable amount.

The new hobbit video is struggling. I was hoping it would pick up at least some of the momentum of the original, but that being so long ago and the novelty wearing off I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. Hopefully the next video is a banger.

I love my family but I really need to lab out an effective response to get them to stop telling me to use AI for everything. It's so exhausting.

Was searching for new covers of some of the deltarune songs but I got huge whiplash from seeing AI ass music with AI ass art, yet people were eating it up in the comments. This shit is actually devastating, need the bubble to go up into flames asap.

It irks me so much when I watch an interesting lore theory video that makes compelling arguments but the more loose connections are all framed as definitive truths. Like you're already making a good point but now you're just doing a weird sales pitch.

Doubled down on getting that empty feeling from finishing a piece of media you really like. I finished the new deltarune chapter and watched the dr. stone finale right after. So peak, but now what...

100%'ed Mina, a great game. A couple frustrations early on that mostly sorted themselves out, but the one thing I really wish was that you got any sort of agency in the story. It feels like it sets up for it at times which got me really excited, just for it to all be on rails. But still great.

Started mina the hollower, seems great so far but the one thing I can't help but want to complain about is the death mechanic. A double death not just costing you your original bones but whatever you get before the second means often I'd rather just intentionally double die and that's just tedious.

I'm going to stop staring at the dashboard though because it only gets me anxious and the first few hours are not at all an indicator of how it might do in due time

I'm a bit skeptical the Nine Sols video will perform well because it's a lot less popular of a game than Celeste and doesn't hold a candle against the LOTR franchise. Also the ridiculous length of the last videos probably helped sell it. Either way I love the game and we'll have to see where it goes

Premiering in 2.5 hours. A technical breakdown of the Nine Sols speedrun, my favorite game of 2024. Not as ridiculously long as my past works but I put more polish on it than ever before.
