Dad who loves a good video game. He/him

Am I the only one whose favorite Donkey Kong Country game is DKC3? The gameplay and soundtrack are as good as ever, and the additions to the overworld gameplay make it feel more like one big world. I'm replaying it now, and yeah, it's as good as I remember.

2026 games finished thread 1: Nine Sols I love a good Metroidvania and a tough-but-fair challenge, and this was both. Bosses require you to really lock in, and it felt great to finally beat them. Even if I spent over an hour on a boss, I never felt frustrated; it was always a learning experience.

I really enjoyed the Sea of Stars expansion, Throes of the Watchmaker. More of what I loved, and friendly for players who haven't played it in a while. Looking forward to Sabotage's next game.

The Rhythm Heaven Groove announcement nearly had me in tears. We get to live the next year knowing that a new game is coming, just like we've lived the last six years for Hollow Knight

It's so weird seeing people post about how TV shows get canceled now, and they never did before. "Back in the day, shows were allowed to find themselves, and got at least three seasons!" Yeah, the ones you remember did.

Just got my Playstation 30th Anniversary Dualsense, and it even has a special microtexture, with the number 3 mixed in with the PlayStation shapes to make the number 30. Almost impossible to see with the naked eye, such a cool detail!
