Hazel - Who claims to be 4000 years old, runs a giant multinational corporation, tuna mines, cat unions, and monitors the rainbow bridge - Has been a major character in my married life for 30 years. I've been joking about writing her into books for at least 10 of them. Finally wrote one.
Hazel, my 4000 year old cat has helped me write my first book! It's the story of her working with 12 year old Mia on an essay on the Library of Alexandria and teaching her about What Didn't Burn and non-traditional scholarship along the way.
