With all the Leagues Cup fun, you might have missed the US U20s take down Guatemala 3-1 in the CONCACAF U20 Championship US grabbed late 1st half goal from Louisville City's Brandon Dayes. 2nd half FC Dallas's Joshua Torquato & RB Leipzig's Dino Klapija secured the win w/ goals

2 goals in 2 games for the Columbus Crew’s new DP 10! Brais Mendez could be a mighty fine Diego Rossi replacement Fantastic night from Taha Hahbroune though with his defensive work on this 3rd goal 👀

Did my own @futi.live challenge... all American talent & winning the league! Getting past 75 points with an all U.S. squad is TOUGH!!! I'd love to see others try this challenge out. If I was a GM, Id be trading away all the international roster spots 😂

MLS went with the "internal hire" & minority LAFC owner Larry Berg will be the next MLS Commissioner! For all the jokes & criticism... Don Garber was a good Commissioner of this league. Larry has a tall task in front of him as he now must lead these clubs/owners into a new era

Larry Berg will be the next commissioner of MLS. The LAFC co-owner was voted in today by the MLS board of governors, per sources. More here: www.nytimes.com/athletic/748...

Mauricio Pochettino is back as Manager of the USMNT. 31 games managed for the U.S. with a record of 17W, 2D, 12L Poch now gets a full cycle with the group. But with a mixed record vs top opponents, no trophies, & the risk of losing a manager mid-cycle (again) I am not sold

I say it every time... and maybe less specific to this move compared to others... @tombogert.bsky.social is there any real way that MLS could influence clubs to NOT sell into Liga MX? I assume opening the salary cap and letting players earn more, similar to Liga MX salaries, could help?

🟡 Sources: Club America finalizing a deal to sign midfielder Edwin Cerrillo from the LA Galaxy. Cerrillo, 25, made 117 apps with the Galaxy. Was held out of the team's game this weekend as the deal got closer.

Colorado Rapids making $17m (minus whatever sell on % they owe Brisbane AND initial transfer fee) with potential for another $6m for a teenager that only played 1,700 minutes for the club, that is some GREAT business there Now you hope eventually good business leads to a trophy

🇦🇺💣 BREAKING: Hull City has reached a verbal agreement to sign Australia int'l defender Lucas Herrington for a deal worth up to $23m, per sources. - $17m (!) fixed fee - $6m add-ons - 15% sell-on clause of any profit - Deal not done, but just formalities www.nytimes.com/athletic/748...

Emmaneul Latte Lath goes down as easily the largest flop in MLS history. The largest incoming transfer fee spend in league history & only coming away with 11G/4A in 3,320 total minutes played (only 9 of those goal in MLS, the rest were in Open Cup & Leagues Cup)

🇨🇮 BREAKING: Union Berlin has signed forward Emmanuel Latte Lath on a one-year loan from Atlanta United, per sources. Deal opens a DP spot for Atlanta as club chase big targets. Latte Lath, 27, gets fresh start in Germany. 11 goals in 48 apps for Atlanta after joining in $22m deal.

Some high level thoughts about this weekends games: Union maybe just maybe needed to play the kids?!?! Shocking I know Neil Pierre has been UNBELIEVABLE at centerback on both ends of the field Kai Wagner is a much needed factor in this XI Milan Iloski scoring again too helps!
