I play with bits of wire to try and get them to emit RF

So I finally got to try my figure of 8 RG213 loop with the WGL. Using 2 cheap 92cm hula hoops as supports. I can't directly compare to the single square loop but I'm sure it will be better. I had fun last night in the PA contest using it for RX and a vertical for TX on 40 & 80m

Nice to get Brian ZL3XDJ in the log again this morning. Just in the nick of time before the band swiched off. Also nice to see the RBN spotting me down under. Only 100w and an off centre fed dipole my end and Brian with 100w and a raised 1/4 wave vertical his end.

Another night familiarising myself with the QMX+, it does not sound like a cheap radio at all. On the contrary, it is a joy to listen to CW. The wee power bank is doing a brilliant job too. I will easily get a good few hours operating with it.

Strange one! 20ah Charmast PD Power Bank with 2 x 12v trigger cables. One is WITRN from Pihut and the other is a GINTOOYUN from Amazon. One works and the other reads 5V. Which source one would you trust more?

Half the #wellgood assembled. Kept it solderless for now (all filmed). Ended up using M&P Ultraflex 7 for the loop as the braid has 100% coverage. Now, we have the issue of constraining it in a nice circle. Bias T will be assembled once, its enclosure arrives.

Gathering bits and bobs for the #wellgood loop build. Making do with what I have to hand mostly. Few small bits ordered to make life easier.

For my UK followers - I'm looking at a new mobile phone contact (S24 Ultra + Sim) and see some really good deals with ID mobile which still allows roaming. Any views welcome on ID mobile who use Threes's network. I'm currently with o2.
