Struggling to match many bands on the new Doublet. Ladder line length too short I'm thinking. Can anyone model this?

I play with bits of wire to try and get them to emit RF
Rattled up a QRO choke for the Doublet. 2 x FT240-43 with 10 turns of RG400. Wont be running much more than 500w so plenty headroom with this.
So I need to build myself a 4:1 balun. It's for a Doublet I will be putting up soon, I would like it rated for at least 2kw 80m thru 10m. Anyone have any pictures of their builds for some inspiration?
So I finally got to try my figure of 8 RG213 loop with the WGL. Using 2 cheap 92cm hula hoops as supports. I can't directly compare to the single square loop but I'm sure it will be better. I had fun last night in the PA contest using it for RX and a vertical for TX on 40 & 80m
Nice to get Brian ZL3XDJ in the log again this morning. Just in the nick of time before the band swiched off. Also nice to see the RBN spotting me down under. Only 100w and an off centre fed dipole my end and Brian with 100w and a raised 1/4 wave vertical his end.
Another night familiarising myself with the QMX+, it does not sound like a cheap radio at all. On the contrary, it is a joy to listen to CW. The wee power bank is doing a brilliant job too. I will easily get a good few hours operating with it.
Really impressed with the QMX+. 3.4w out on 20m and I get a ping across the pond on an audibly dead band. The Anker Nano PB with 12v trigger cable works a treat with no obvious noise.
Strange one! 20ah Charmast PD Power Bank with 2 x 12v trigger cables. One is WITRN from Pihut and the other is a GINTOOYUN from Amazon. One works and the other reads 5V. Which source one would you trust more?
Awesome 👌😍. Thought I was at least a couple of weeks out before shipping.
Start of something new. Too good of a deal to pass up for us UK customers.
Left the #wellgood on WSPR RX all night and this was the DX spots it received on 80m. Thanks to Roland @hb9vqq.bsky.social for the amazing anaylyics ability.
There it is. All held together with bungee straps to test. I will make things more permanent soon, although this will a quick deploy/takedown system.
I really dont like soldering 2.1 x 5.5 connectors. Its peanuts to buy these moulded pigtails and just add more wire if needed.
So we're almost done building the #wellgood. Bit of a botch job of the Bias T as my enclosure was a bit tight.
Half the #wellgood assembled. Kept it solderless for now (all filmed). Ended up using M&P Ultraflex 7 for the loop as the braid has 100% coverage. Now, we have the issue of constraining it in a nice circle. Bias T will be assembled once, its enclosure arrives.
Great service and prices again from Sotabeams & Switch Electronics. Ordered Friday and arrived Monday. This should allow me to build the Bias T for the #wellgood

Gathering bits and bobs for the #wellgood loop build. Making do with what I have to hand mostly. Few small bits ordered to make life easier.
So I'm wondering if I can use this as a PSU for for my QMX+ on order? What do I need to do to emsure max 12v?

Just threw LOG out on the lawn and the SNR difference over the OCFD looks impressive, on short skip anyway.
For my UK followers - I'm looking at a new mobile phone contact (S24 Ultra + Sim) and see some really good deals with ID mobile which still allows roaming. Any views welcome on ID mobile who use Threes's network. I'm currently with o2.
I wonder if I can fit a battery and speaker into my QMX+ on order? I ordered the dev board too. Think of a poor mans KX2/KH2. Would also like attachable paddles and look at ATU options 🤔
So finally pulled the trigger on a QMX+. Wanted all bands. The CW sounds superb on it from videos I've watched. Just the long wait as I've opted for pre-assembled.
Back to radio now. Seeing something from @g0wat.bsky.social I have started to left hand key (non dom). Simply reversed the polatity and its happening pretty naturally without thought.
After a year of enjoying many fine German Pils, I'm ashamed to say after a chance Tennents on a night out, l enjoy it just as much as any good Pils.
ScotHex #2 Centre Post and Base Plate finally completed.
