Went for a quick check of my mushroom spot. There are more hen-of-the-woods back there than I have ever seen. This is just one stump. There are older ones that are past prime but also ones that are very fresh. Too bad we don't have our booth at the farmers market anymore.
Some light rain heading this way. Figured I should do something inside like can apple pie filling. I don't have enough lemon juice and I'm not spending $6.59/gal diesel to go get some when I work in town tomorrow. Currently weighing my options on what to do this afternoon.

I drove to the nursing home to visit my neighbor (I've been bad. Been over a month since I've seen him. Need to do better.) I was going to run the beagles when I got home but the Browns tied the score of the football game and that's so rare that I think I should keep watching.😂
Morning success. Getting each of the 3 semi-feral cats to ingest one and only one oral flea pill each. Each pill tucked neatly in a dollop of canned food. No easy task but success feels so sweet.

Belle rolled in something stinky while she was running around so she just had her first outside garden hose bath (she has only had tub baths before). And now Otis is licking her incessantly. 😂😂😂
One thing the broken down lawn mower led me to do was take the dogs out and let them run around in the weeds for an hour. They did not find any rabbits which is pretty typical for dry afternoons. I got to wear my old boots held together with duct tape. 😂
My lawn mower is broken. It was working fine I had just mowed about a quarter of the yard. I parked the mower. Turned it off. Moved some vehicles out of the way. Got back on. Started the engine. The PTO won't turn the blades and all the belts look intact. WTF?
Hubby and I had a great morning. We drove 75 miles one way to meet up with family for breakfast to celebrate my uncle's 93rd birthday. On the way back we stopped at the cheapest fuel station to top off my truck's tank. Not even a half a tank of fuel. So much winning, right?🙄

More #TrailCam video from the leftover chicken butchering parts. The largest group of turkey vultures that showed up at one time. They are flighty just like most birds and I laughed when they spooked and took off. Very clumsy. A few of them took 2 tries to take off. 😂
One of the worst parts of not having electricity today was no phones, also no mobile service except for one employee who has T-Mobile. And so no cell phone service other than I could get texts. We used the T-Mobile cell phone set up a hotspot to run one laptop. What fun!
Still no power when I left work. The word was we would have power at 11am. Then at 11am it became 1pm. Then at 1pm it became 5pm. So we closed 2 hours early. Did some errands and now I'm 30 minutes early for my Walmart pickup order. 😂😂
No power at work. BUT I had to drive through two nonworking traffic lights and EVERYONE was treating it as a 4-way stop. Good job people! I'm proud of you. 😁😁 Now to try and figure out how to work with no electricity. 😂😂😂
