I saw one Marlies game last year (their Calder Cup win): Landon Sim is a fucking gamer. He was up in everyone's kitchen, trucked a bunch of guys, had defenders playing scared, scored a goal. He's probably never going to score more than fifteen points in an NHL season but he has a motor coaches love.

Remember being excited about Williams. Watched him up close in St. John's, then he went on this little heater to start his NHL career. Dude could wire it. Finished with nine goals in 32 NHL games spread across five seasons. Carved out a nice little European career with stops in AUS/GER/SUI/SWE.

Hey Darren, if missing training camp was as big deal to Leafs fans as you think, then why is Nylander so beloved? Maybe it's because (a) Willy was paid fairly, (b) he showed up when it mattered, (c) his agent didn't orchestrate an insane PR pressure campaign during negotiations. Fucking asshole.
