Feline Persuasion
Or How To Socialize a Feral Architect and Not Fall In Love
Haikaveh + Modern Hybrid AU + E-Rated
By Moepuff

Chapter 1 Summary:
Al-Haitham has long held the belief that one should make all of life's decisions with clarity and conviction, because regret is one of the most pointless wastes of time he's ever had the misfortune to encounter. He holds himself to this standard and expects very few people to meet it—after all, he's long been aware his point of view is unique, and that most people lack the confidence in their own goals to have that sort of clarity in the first place.

I got to write about the Desert Foxes showing Kaveh their very...special brand of gratitude for @heart-teyvat.bsky.social ! 🤭It's a very fun piece, and I'm really excited for y'all to read it! Preorders are open now, go get your copy today! heartteyvat.bigcartel.com/products

Writer Preview: Clover:

"After the ringing had stopped and Kaveh had retreated to the forest again, the fox clans all convened together with their elders to discuss what had happened, and came to the same conclusion: that Kaveh must be a fox, because he is far too kind, far too brave, and smells far too pleasing to really be a human, even if he is gangly, badly-proportioned and terribly loud.

Which brought them all to the second and more important topic of the meeting; Kaveh is absolutely terrible at being a fox."

HEART Teyvat - Packing Soon!@heart-teyvat.bsky.social · last yr.

tsuchinoko...real.

a calico cat lays on top of a PC tower, tucked under herself to resemble a fat fuzzy slug instead of a creature with limbs. She looks sleepily directly into the camera, enhancing the effect.

Several stickers are on the PC, reading "Now that's what I call ADHD", "I Heart Old Woman Yuri", "I Heart Old Man Yaoi", "No Eye Contact Gang", and a depiction of a fat snake in a cowboy hat reading "Scree-haw".

The image is a four panel comic.

Panel one shows a person saying "Don't worry about taking too long on my commission! I'm patient and I know you have a life outside work."

Panel two shows another person, presumably the artist, walking into frame with tears in their eyes. They whimper out "Th-Th.."

Panel three shows the artist putting their hand on the other person, saying "Thank...Th-"

Panel four shows the other person awkwardly hugging the crying artist now, hesitantly saying " Uh...T-There there..."

Just checked something, and what. Not only does Apple charge Patrons EXTRA, but transactions take 75 days after purchase to become available for withdrawal? Anyway, support creators through web browser, NOT app. Jesus.

I'm serious about pushing Republicans on impeachment this week. Think about it. There will never be a better chance. Rich people losing their wealth is the *only* thing that can move the needle on this. Not fascism, not racism, not the destruction of public health. This is it.

birthday #wipwednesday 🍰

If Kaveh never thought about it, and never dwelled on how Al-Haitham vanished for three day every six weeks and came back looking like he'd been run over by a Sumpter Beast that personally murdered his grandmother, things were almost good.

He really should have known better. Nothing good in Kaveh's life ever came for free.

Kaveh couldn't even really blame Al-Haitham for it. He'd grown careless, after the tournament, and then grown very busy. He hadn't kept track of his store of suppressants very well—not until he unexpectedly run out. Even then, Kaveh hadn't panicked—it took a few weeks for it to work out of his system when he stopped taking them. That would be plenty of time to go and get more. It wasn't like he'd go into a heat instantly, the moment the drugs had ceased, either.

Some people would argue that Kaveh could not have possibly accounted for an accident in one of th specific Amurta student labs that shared a ventilation system with the Kshahrewar lecture halls. Kaveh would have argued back that he'd graduated from the Akademiya with honors and knew damn well that he should account for the most impossibly ridiculous nonsense to happen at the exact worst moment.

“Sunlight Nara, we must apologize for not recognizing you before. Arakasyapa thought he’d seen a ghost, so startled was I to see you.”

Kaveh blinks, and kneels down to the Aranara–Arakasyapa?--so he’s closer to eye level. The two Aranara following their lead bobble their heads in agreement, leaves swaying gently as they do. It is so unbearably cute Kaveh isn’t entirely sure what to do with himself, but he must focus on the task at hand.

“It’s alright, Arakasyapa. But right now, I think I need your help.”

The Aranara all nod in unison, causing another rippling bobble of leaves, and look as solemnly as their faces allow up at Kaveh.

“We know. You are trying to stop the nara who consumed Marana. You are here to save Nahida. That is why we caught the bad Nara’s ghost for you, before he slipped away.”

Kaveh blinks. Blinks again. Looks up at where Siraj struggles to escape the Aranara, and blinks a third time.

“His…ghost? Isn’t this a realm of dreams?”

“All dreaming things have a final dream as they die. This was the promise made by the Lord of Verdure, and remains so now,” Arakasyapa says gravely, and shakes his head with an unsteady wobble. “This Nara was touched by the Marana, and we would have to plant him for a long time until his vipyaras could grow again, but you, Sunlight Nara, the Marana flees from your touch. It leaves a path that you can follow, through him.”

“Marana…is what you call the Withering?” Kaveh asks carefully, the beginnings of understanding clicking into place in his mind.
