Can someone please explain to me how you can have an automated release if the package registry requires 2FA? How does a computer running remotely look at a phone on your desk and input the code displayed on the screen. Are we just doing away with automated releases? Is that what this is?

@chrisrosie22.bsky.social I have to admit, the WLL is very watchable when the league just lets them play, especially not enforcing that stupid illegal defense rule. The all-star game was particularly exciting. I still would like to see proper head & hand protection, but perhaps it will be organic.

You do not have to accept unskippable ads as part of life. No where is this written as a rule of the world we live in. Reject it. Outright reject it.

I cannot understand why they ever lift the fire ban here in Colorado. As soon as they do, we have wildfires all over the place (and even when they don't). You just can't burn shit here. It's too risky. Not unless we have a monsoon for a month straight (which we never do).

I don't understand why all progressives aren't vegans. Are you only progressive for humans? How do you reconcile that? Please someone explain this to me. Perhaps progressive just isn't the right label for my views, but rather something more encompassing.

We live in society now in which being a terrible person (by that I mean being selfish, greedy, and nasty to others), is being rewarded. It's revolting. Where have all the lessons gone that we learned growing up? Do they matter anymore? (I, for one, think they do).

@danarestia.bsky.social Please, please, please complain loudly about the breakdown booth being right before faceoff and causing the player to not be on the field in time. It's so awkward. Frankly, kill the segment because it's terrible. Or do it going into halftime. The PLL just does some cringe.

Fuck Ruby for removing the logger stdlib from the core language. It was brain-dead stupid and arrogant. It makes me never want to use Ruby again.

So many still don't understand the open source contract. I don't develop code for your needs. I develop code for my needs and share it with you to use however you like (in accordance with the license). Nothing says I have to continue working on it or accept contributions. I might, but I might not.

A wild idea appears... what if you could use JBang with JRuby as a complete Rails command line... no JVM or JRuby installation required? jbang rails@jruby new blog cd blog jbang rails@jruby generate scaffold ... It just needs some tweaks to work. Interested?
