I'm headed to AWP for the first time! Looking forward to soaking up great readings and picking up a fresh stack of books. I'll be at booth #600 signing my chabook HOSPICE on Saturday at 1pm. Hope to see you there!

Multiple copies of my poetry chapbook Hospice fanned on top of a stone surface.

A photo collage of authors Mat Johnson, Nicola Griffith, Fonda Lee, Darcie Little Badger, and Pete Rock. It reads "Announcing our 2026 selection panel!" at the top, and has the Ursula K. Le Guin Prize for Fiction logo at the bottom right.

Excited to kick off 2026 with a reading at Broadside Bookshop! Join me in person on Tuesday, January 20th at 7pm. I'll be reading from my recently published chapbook Hospice and my full-length manuscript.

POETS: If you're not exactly a spring chicken (I consider myself a mid-to-late-summer bird) I highly recommend taking a gander (sorry, not trying to pun, it just happened) at The Stern Prize. What a lovely framework for a prize: 50 & over. I mean, it takes a half-century to unlearn some things, yes?
