Bennet has been unremarkable and mostly inoffensive, but the man is not a leader, and he will not be a bulwark against MAGA. Personally, I’m a hard no. I’d like to start giving millennials and Gen-Y/Z the opportunity.

Not like there’s any real policy/ideological daylight between Bennet and the 3-5 Colorado Dems who would’ve vied for governor otherwise — but his decision summarily ends a wide-open race that could’ve produced fresh energy and ideas and instead puts the state’s next eight years on autopilot.

My YES vote is *not* an endorsement of this deeply flawed CR. My YES vote is 💯 about refusing to shut our government down. I refuse to punish working families and plunge millions of Americans into chaos.   I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever vote to shut our government down.

Thought: Trump isn’t the problem. He is the only elected person with the stones to fight. If you won’t fight for anything, and you demonstrate that your principles aren’t real, then why should anyone support you. You lose every fight. Democrats let Trump.

The weeks of performative “resistance” from those in my party were limited to undignified antics. Voting to shut the government down will punish millions or risk a recession. I disagree with many points in the CR, but I will never vote to shut our government down.
