La Forge: "We want to do experiments on the critical systems of the spaceship/computer keeping us all alive." Me: gee, that sounds like something you should not do in production. Episode: *dramatic music plays, because stuff is very broken now* #TNG was so far ahead of its time #StarTrek

I spent some time watching #StarTrek TNG yesterday. I had never really directly noticed that there seem to be at least two intermingled storylines going on in each episode. I noticed it because it "felt" different while watching. Am I going crazy or is this something we no longer do in TV?

Just a little reminder to all my GenX (I didn't forget you) and Millennials out there. Right now, we have the opportunity to not become the boomers. Shut the fuck up about the burritos. Learn to coach the youngs instead of shitting on them.

People tend to think that past humans were dumb because they didn't know about germs and had horses and boats instead of cars and planes. But they invented the pocket watch from first principles. Future people are gonna be right about us though. A lot of us are dumb as shit.

The goal of this crowd is to spend the least amount of time possible playing the game, and then complain that the game is short. Getting stuck and exploring to figure out where to go is part of gaming. Learning how games generally work is part of gaming. "Limited time" is a terrible excuse.

I sincerely dislike people who cry about "yellow paint" or other visual markers when reviewing games. Those are in games to help players who aren't terminally online gamers navigate the world. You know, the "casuals" who actually make up the silent majority market for video games. 1/
