#TriviaTuesday: The three fellas fronting the band in the Hill Valley festival in 1990's 'Back to the Future Part III' are none other than rock legends ZZ Top, performing a hillbilly version of the film's theme Doubleback and winning over the cast and crew by jamming between takes.

In Fanny and Alexander (1982), the magic lantern acts as a self-reflexive metonymy for cinema. As film's ancestor, it stands in for the cinematic apparatus. By manipulating light to project ghosts, Alexander mirrors Ingmar Bergman: a young auteur directing his audience via screen storytelling.

Books to Films 📚=🎞️ The Executioners (1957) by John D. MacDonald was adapted to film in 1962, '91 & 2026 (as a miniseries). The films & mini make the protagonist a lawyer whereas in the book he is a witness. With each successive version the family becomes more dysfunctional. ⛓️⚖️🧑‍⚖️ #filmsky #booksky
