Ten minutes. That's all I had today. But I sat down, fingers at the ready, and let my thoughts flow. A good day's work. Because I know I'll try again tomorrow. That's the power of consistency. #Booksky #Writingcommunity #dailyreminders

Cowardly writer. Aspiring procrastinator. Island dweller. Working on stuff and striving to finish. Also, gaming. Photography. And whatever feels right. 日本はなんだか快適~
I find my interests are like phases of the moon: A sliver of gaming this week; half a novel the next; another slice of movies and streaming the following. Throw in a good stretch of nothingness and ensuing depression and there you have it. Moon powered #dailymusings #showerthoughts #sendhelp
This is definitely true. Also, I definitely don't have ADHD. Why would you suggest such a thing? I'm much more adaptable and fluid. Speaking of fluid, did you know that Titan (that's one of Saturn's moons BTW-even if Saturn isn't actually terrigenous, the moons are). So, let's talk liquid methane..
Writing the first draft on day 1: "My inner writer thinks they're an editor. How cute!" Writing the first draft on day 832: "No, it doesn't matter that you used 'I gazed' three sentences ago." "NO, you DON'T need more words describing smell!" "Why are we back at chapter two?!" #WritingCommunity
"Your villains should be complex, with motivations stemming from clear wrongs that lend an air of truth or righteousness to their grievances, making them not only seem compelling and tragic, but real." Real-life villains: 🤡 #Booksky #WritingCommunity
If we view the people around us in a cynical lens, what hope do we ever have of finding peace? #dailymusings #showerthoughts #bebetter
It's so interesting to go back and read some of my old, unpublished work and realize it's not near as bad as I thought. I can spot the flaws more easily now, yes, but I can also understand more clearly how my voice as a writer has developed. #Booksky #Writingcommunity
I try not to make barriers to my writing. Having the perfect time or mind space... But there are moments when opening a manuscript feels like stepping out over an abyss. Writing, by nature, is transcribing a part of ourselves. The act can be cozy, but sometimes I'd prefer a warm hug. #Booksky
Dungeon Meshi season 2!!! One of the GOAT fantasy anime is finally getting the conclusion it deserves. delicious-in-dungeon.com/en/ #anime #fantasy
Hideo Kojima on our all-digital future today: "Today you can still download data. But at one point games will be made into streaming services like Amazon or Netflix and companies will decide if you can play a game or not" Suits deciding which art we can consume... #gaming #Playstation
That feeling of finding the perfect book. The one that inspires. That you can't put down until you've devoured it cover to cover; like it's been waiting for you the whole time, and once you know it, you can't imagine yourself having not read it. It feeds one hunger, and creates another. #Booksky
Do people using AI for writing or image generation for anything other than personal use actually want to create? Where is the joy? Is it simply a means to an end? Once the person is removed from the process, it ceases being art. The whole thing just seems so empty, vapid and useless.

One hour to write! Don't polish. Keep writing... Don't polish. Keep writing... Don't polish. Keep writing... ...but, you know what could make this part even better? #Booksky #writing #dailyreminders
Having my protagonist trudge through the desert while rocks and sand pummel them mercilessly from all sides is somehow the perfect metaphor for the whole writing process. My hero needs a dune buggy or something...
Excited to pick up StarFox for Switch tomorrow. Wait. What? It's been thirty years?! Someone's been messing with my concept of time, and I'd like them to stop already.
Happily away from my workplace engaged in guerrilla writing to try and finish my draft.
New Nintendo Direct! My monthly quota of hype has been satisfied.
The worst people in the world are a bunch of fragile, emotionally repressed snowflakes. If there is a God, They suck at writing villains. #showerthoughts
I have seen some idiots defending the Valnet “pay per session” model as a meritocracy for writers when it is actually, very obviously, a machine explicitly designed to destroy writing. Paying people based on raw traffic financially incentivizes the fastest most disposable sludge imaginable
So, the Super Mario Galaxy Movie was one big sugary rush to get from one scene to the next, with references and nostalgia replacing anything resembling tension, and with only enough plot to fill roughly half of its super-padded run-time. ...and I still had a smile on my face the whole time #Mario
