So WotC shared most of the keynote stuff with press beforehand (which is why we've all got articles and stuff up so quick) but they kept the Star Wars stuff back! That was a surprise!

So looking forward to this. We’re invited to CERN to meet with the RPG club (scientists love nerdy games—who knew?), a tour of ATLAS at the Large Hadron Collider, the antimatter factory, and more! And playing games with people way cleverer than us! Plus a day hanging out in Geneva because why not?

It's always funny when outlets 'break' news while using our screenshots (yes, to the pixel--at least change the filename, dudes!) without mentioning us. Then again, I guess that's not worse than those youtube channels who just read out our articles, word for word.

There's speculation that the D&D book which appeared on Barnes & Noble codenamed "GOLLY" might be the World of Warcraft D&D book--World of Warcraft is often abbreviated to "WoW", and 'wow' is a synonym for 'golly'. Just speculation though.

Closed a thread as people were shouting at each other & I have better things to do than moderate arguments at 2am. Deathbringer fans say that makes me "such a fag" and an "irrelevant iron-fisted East Berlin". Yet they're all reading my irrelevant site. And we'd been supportive of Deathbringer.

I've decided that my new least favourite phrase on the internet is "you do realise....?" It's worst on Facebook. Within 3 posts, every conversation devolves into somebody snidely saying "You do realise...?"

Ugh. Trying to get stock art off Shutterstock and it makes it so hard to avoid the AI slop. Doesn't help that uploaders don't always label it. My current trick is to only use art uploaded before 2021, but that feels like it screws genuine artists uploading new stuff.

I am proud to announce that we are still proud of our record-breaking 27-year streak of zero award nominations for any gaming awards program! Long may it continue!

Bad news: still homeless due to gas leak. 15 days now. Good news: our visit to CERN later this year has been confirmed. Can’t wait! Geneva’s nice and inexpensive, right? ;)

If you've been waiting on me for anything work related, I'm afraid it might be a while. We were evacuated last week due to a gas leak, and at present it doesn't look like we're going home soon. We have our phones, two dogs, not enough changes of clothes, and that's about it!

Singaporean artist Leia Ham reimagined LotR as Tale of the Middle Kingdom, since Chinese name for China (Zhōngguó) means "The Middle Kingdom." Her concept art includes the Fellowship, armors, buildings like Bag End, props like Aragorn's banner and Fellowship brooches, and more. #TolkienTrewsday

On the top right are three side profiles of Rohan man, Gondorian, and Elf with different Chinese hairstyles. On the bottom right is Aragorn's banner redrawn with Chinese influence.A concept art of Bag End reimagined as Chinese court houses, with tall stone gates, round wooden doors, curved roofs, and open courtyard, nestled in a hill.A concept art of Rivendell in the style of Chinese painting. Next to it are several props drawn in Chinese style such as Fellowship brooch based on gingko leaves, lembas in the shape of mooncake, Elfstone as round jade, Galadriel's phial in a green jade bottle, and shards of Narsil.

New editions are always a big hurdle--thus WotC insisting that 5.5E is not a new edition, despite us being unable to sell any 5E stuff to people at UKGE who without exception asked "is this 5.5E?" and did not accept an answer that they were compatible.

Masters of the Universe is utter gorgeous joyous fun. Film of the year so far. Everything Mando should have been but wasn’t. That is all.
