How It Works: While mentorship programs focus on improving writing skill and developing & polishing a manuscript, this project is focused on what comes after: understanding and navigating the query process. - Answer questions about querying best practices, choosing agents, submission guidelines, etc.
- Be a contact for those “I feel like I should know this” or “I’m embarrassed I have to ask” questions
- Help recognize form vs personalized rejections
- Provide tips for organizing, tracking, and/or prioritizing queries

Who Can Take Part? Navigators should have at least 1 year or 1 book worth of querying fiction within the past 3 years, feel able to provide constructive comments with kindness, and be reasonably available for questions and support.
