Before you go into the world today, please listen. There's nothing wrong with you. There never was. You aren't broken. You don't need to be fixed. You don't need to be sorry. Any story told to the contrary was never told for your benefit.

I don't know what I'm doing with my life, but I'm talking about it here.
I haven't posted on here in a while, as some life changes have kept me busy as of late, but to make up for it, I'd like to offer a thread of things a lot of people may have needed to hear as a child but no one said.
You're allowed to reinvent yourself as often as you want or need and as much as you want or need. You don't have to stay stagnant just to make other people comfortable. Everything is changing about you all the time and that's perfectly okay. Let yourself hope for the best every once in a while.
If a routine you've been doing no longer works and serves you, it's better to alter the pattern and develop a new routine. You can't just sit and stare at your wounds forever and expect them to heal that way.
I'm going to be more direct with this one. You aren't hard to love. Stop letting other people make you feel that way. Have a good day ❤️
Happy Pride Month! Pride is important because someone tonight still believes they're better off dead than being themselves. To parents, your child didn't come out to hurt you or defy you. They came out because they love you and hoped you'd love them back. And when you don't, it destroys them.
You aren't a burden if you have anxiety You aren't a burden if you're autistic You aren't a burden if you're disabled You aren't a burden if you're mentally ill You aren't a burden if you're ADHD You aren't a burden if you're depressed You aren't a burden if you're chornically ill
You're allowed to stop revisiting situations, conversations, and interactions with someone that have already showed you who they are. A lot of times, growth is also recognizing when there's nothing new to learn and moving on. If you're not learning anything new, move on.
Your art, your writing, whatever you create, it's allowed to change alongside you. What you make doesn't have to look the same now as something you made before. We all change and grow over time. Our work can do the same.
Continuously waiting for "the right moment" can slowly cause you to miss the moment you're already in. Sometimes, joy shows up as disguised as just an ordinary afternoon, asking to be noticed. It's important to slow down and take in those ordinary moments too.
There's a big difference between being a bad person and simply making a mistake. You need to realize that not every misstep is necessarily moral failure. Mistakes can still be corrected. A bad person is cruel and that's a deliberate choice, not an accident.
You aren't meant to get it right the first time. Or the second. Or the third. Or fourth or fifth or tenth. You're still in the process of it all, learning and growing. Processes loop but eventually evolve. You will too.
Brushing your teeth 3-4 times a year is still better than nothing. If you promised yourself you'd do better this year and already fell off the wagon in January, go do it now. Once a week or month or year is better than never. If you can't do perfect, more than nothing is better than nothing.
The path you're on might not make sense while you're on it, but that's because you're still inside the chapter. You won't get a clear overview of everything until later. Your job isn't to understand everything going on right now. It's to just keep going.
It doesn't matter if anyone else likes your story or your art or anything you're making. If you like it, it'll always have at least one fan. Create for yourself before creating for other people. If you love it, the right audience will come along and join you.
No amount of regret can change the past. No amount of anxiety will change the future. Any of amount of gratitude will change the present. It won't solve every problem you have, not on its own, but it does give you enough light to see what's still in your control.
No matter how many times the world tries to define you by your wounds, you're allowed to choose who you'll become next. Some people will question your worth. It keeps you smaller, quieter, and easier to handle. But you deserve to be heard. You're more than your past.
Even when you don't feel proud of yourself, you're still doing something brave by continuing. Every day that you stay, try again, or choose not to quit is an act of courage in and of itself. You don't need to FEEL strong to BE strong. Existing and pushing forward is enough.
One of the best ways to combat depressive pessimism without it veering into toxic positivity is simply being open to possibilities. When your impulse is to slam the door on anything good, leaving the door open just a crack can make all the difference.
You DON'T owe any loyalty to any of the people that are only showing up when it's convenient for them. You DO owe yourself consistency, care, and the decision to keep going, even when no one is around. Don't worry about the people not showing up. Just keep being you.
Whatever you're making, don't worry about it not being perfect or exactly what you had in mind the first time. Just make sure it exists first. You can always improve it later.
Reminder to seek out people, places, and media that fill you with love for life and motivation to keep going and do what you want to do. Discipline is key, but finding ways to keep you inspired certainly helps make everything suck less.
Most parts of life are temporary. Seasons, friendships, routines, even versions of ourselves. They're all temporary, but temporary doesn't mean meaningless or unimportant. You don't have to protect yourself from joy just because it isn't permanent. You're made to change.
I keep forgetting to post on here... I think I'm going to try to start posting some hopecore stuff, both to help other people and help keep myself in a positive mindset. So for today... You'll get to where you want to be eventually. Even if it takes time, you'll get there.
If a post makes you angry, wait at least one hour before you reply. Go ahead and post if you're still angry then, but I promise you won't be. Even a few minutes away from the screen makes you quickly realize how little any of this matters.
I haven't checked in here as much as I hoped I would as of late, but happy Trans Visibility Day! I'm not trans, but my girlfriend/roommate is, and I love her. I love that she's unapologetically herself, no matter what. I couldn't be prouder of her.
Happy trans visibility day everyone! You should give a trans person a hug and kisses (with their consent, of course), either physically or digitally, and maybe give them some money :3 Also, call a trans person cute today, especially if it’s yourself! You’ve earned it for being such good beans :3
Happy Trans Day of Visibility everyone! Thanks for giving me an amazing space where I can truly be myself. I look forward to the day that I can comfortably do that with my immediate surroundings as well. Thanks for making this silly frog happy! 🎨tohfee
Happy Trans Day of Visibility ! I'm proud to be non-binary May all my trans siblings have the best day ever <3
