1979-OTD, White Sox Owner Bill Veeck has a promotion at Comiskey park between games of a doubleheader to encourage fans to bring in Disco records that would be destroyed as part of “Disco Demolition Night”. The crowd literally went wild and the 2nd game was forfeited. But Disco did die out by 1980😱
