Clicked on a video about the Oscar's Best Animated Feature category and within the first minute, the creator of the video said the category was created to honour "Shrek." That is incorrect.

Just got a great idea. Sony should capitalise on Brand New Day's success by making spin-off movies with other Spider-Man characters like Venom, Madame Web and Kraven the Hunter. One actor who's been in the news lately would be perfect for Morbius the Living Vampire.

Just saw a squirrel spend a few minutes trying to open the top of a bird feeder, continuing to prove my point that "The Nut Job" is an accurate depiction of squirrels.

Too many people seem to think the eagles are an Uber service Gandalf can call on a whim whenever he feels like it. Plus one of the reasons the hobbits were entrusted to bring the One Ring to Mount Doom was because it was a stealth mission. Hard to be stealth with giant squawking eagles.

"But why didn't the giant eagles just fly them all to Mordor?!" *sigh* Because the eagles rightly feared the Nazgûl and their "fell beasts" -- which were "apt to evil" and "grew beyond the measure of all other things that fly." Cool? Can we put this one to bed now?

"A creature of an older world maybe it was, whose kind, lingering in forgotten mountains cold beneath the Moon, outstayed their day, and in hideous eyrie bred this last untimely brood, apt to evil. And the Dark Lord took it, and nursed it with fell meats, until it grew beyond the measure of all other things that fly; and he gave it to his servant to be his steed."

Thing is, I'm not convinced any REAL people are outraged, boycotting, or even care NOW. The "culture war" is 99.9% grifters, bots and a few terminally-online creeps with grass-touching allergies who listen to grifters and bots. All amplified artificially by social media.

Shawn Levy's biggest crime (and it's not even a crime) is directing movies some people disliked. But from the social media posts I've seen, you'd think Kevin Feige and Ryan Gosling had asked Jeffrey Dahmer to direct "Ghost Rider." All of you need to calm down.

My main takeaway from the Ghost Rider news is "I guess Ryan Gosling and Shawn Levy must have gotten along really well on the set of their Star Wars movie and Gosling wants to continue working with him."
