It’s really starting to grind me down

The World Cup has become a global marketing virus. Every app, every ad, every brand thinks I give a shit. I fucking don't. Can't wait for this shit to be over so the world can have a personality again. We had AI slop, now we have World Cup slop.

This week has been fcking insane. Mod update: - 2-heart event is developed (pending i18n). - Made a few more assets. - Wrote the entire 1-heart event script. I think these posts keep me motivated more than anything else, but I'm glad if you enjoy following along!

Since I've been having fun with pixel art for Rowan's sprites, I wanted to try my hand with Atlas too. My moose is next! 👀 (Probably I should make the brown hair lines a little darker. What do you think? 🤔)

*sighs* okay, day 2 without ADHD meds. Spent 30 minutes staring at my screen unable to continue a task, incredibly frustrated because I couldn't remember why I was unable to continue the task. My brain got stuck in an infinite loop, maxed out CPU usage, and produced no output. I'm exhausted.

Today's progress! - Rowan won't spawn until the story prerequisites are met. - Rowan is now following proper daily schedules and moving around the map. - The new map changes depending on where you are in Rowan's storyline. - The first story event is fully implemented and working.

SO. TODAY WAS WILD. Remember when I said that I messed up with the portraits resolution? The thing is that SV requires each portrait to be 64x64 and I drew them at 96x96 (don't ask). Since it's pixel art, downscaling would make the image turn into nonsense. Today I redrew ALL the 27 portraits.

It's hot as fuck and I just remembered that I have tickets for a 4-day metal festival in August. Past me really looked at the calendar and said "yeah, spending 4 days headbanging under the sun in the hottest month of the year sounds like a plan" Excellent decision-making. ... And yet I'm hyped.

Okay. So. Today's update. - Finished the basic walking sprites and their variants. - Managed to put the NPC inside the game and make it spawn - Sprites work correctly! Now, the bad news: I'll have to redraw all the portraits. I messed up the resolution and there just isn't a fix for it.

Spent the whole day drawing sprites... This is gonna be the end of me...

For those who asked: Yes! It will be romanceable! And instead of 1 heart event every 2 friendship levels, I'm adding 1 heart event per level. Things I haven't decided yet: - Custom soundtrack - Good/bad endings - Adding him to the festivals - Early access / Public Beta Let me know what you think

Well second day: - The map now loads. Yay! - Added some interactive objects on it. - Lost my mind trying to figure out stuff because content patcher documentation is like meh. I think the next step is... start to work on the sprites? I'm scared.

OKAY. I'm about to try pixel art for the first time. If anyone has any advice, it'll be much appreciated. *SIGH* IM SCARED. AND OVERWHELMED. AAAAAAAHHHH.

Whats difficult is this speech is amazing and says exactly what i wanted, but this clip cuts off before trans people are explicitly mentioned caveatted with women having “good reason to be concerned” showing that even the character seeing the true vision is falling for it and letting us down

I've reached a point where I actively try to dodge any kind of news and contact with the shit that's happening because it makes me feel so fucking powerless and hopeless.

Do they really think they are "cool" by throwing such racist messages like this? First time something made me cringe and feel sad at the same time.

Bought a second-hand CD from some random guy online. It arrived inside a McCain fries box, wrapped in what I can only describe as a prehistoric newspaper egg. All of it with my address duct-taped on a side. CD arrived perfectly fine. I can’t even complain.
