Sometimes people are really sweet. I stopped for coffee on the way back and the barista was alone because everyone else called in sick and kept apologizing for taking so long and then thanked me for being chill by giving me a pack of her own snacks. I love when kindness is returned with kindness.

Gotta love waking up and making well intentioned but questionable decisions first thing in the morning. Like walking over 9km to breakfast despite it being pretty easily transit accessible and very easy to take my car too. At least it’s good exercise but now I’m tired and it’s not even 10am.

A big thanks to @vanhooverpe.bsky.social for starting off the con year well. It was fun being your reg lead and seeing a bunch of my friends on staff. Now sitting at my traditional post-con Bon’s breakfast I’m looking forward to my next con on the horizon @vancoufur.bsky.social!

When you go to work on convention stuff with your friend @shadowsmyst.bsky.social and end up discussing custom made leather gear and getting head scritches on the couch. This is the best way to do con work.

Got a gorgeous new tattoo today from an artist in Calgary. Like nearly all good things in Calgary the recommendation for the artist came from @emkat.co

Had myself a delicious coffee and breakfast sandwich at Aggüdo Coffee Roasters in Sunnyside this morning on the recommendation of my favourite local cat @emkat.co Now I’m getting ready to go get my first tattoo!

2025 has been a real mixed bag. There’s been a bunch of excellent moments and some really shitty ones. I had my first adult relationship start and unfortunately end, I’ve met some people who I can’t imagine living the rest of my life without.

Finally got my @angypaws.com order on Christmas Eve and did a little unboxing video.
