I'm catching up with @p1podcast.com, episode 1029 and I am convinced @superpac.bsky.social and I crossed paths in New Buffalo and Warren Dunes State Park up in Michigan as kids. My Dad would also put us up in questionable motels and walk around naked with no shame.

I've lived through plenty of oil price shocks. But I can't remember any that were entirely self-inflicted by the incompetence of one man.
Crude flying this morning—Brent now above $104/bbl. Wheels coming off.
Almost time for some new MST3K: The Rifftrax Experience.
I loved LEGO, but I love the rights of trans people more. LEGO is pushing out even more Harry Potter content in sets and games in advance of that new HBO series. LEGO is the most visible merch supplier of JK Rowling. Without LEGO, that series would be much less visible, so I no longer buy LEGO.
FASA Star Trek was a huge part of my childhood in the era before TNG. I still have many fond memories of reading the source books and playing the Tactical Combat Simulator with my best friend.
Our child is back safely at Augustana via Greyhound after visiting for the long weekend. We're very happy she loves college.
It was nice having the kids back in town for the long weekend. They're both headed back to college tomorrow.
Haven't been on socials all week and the first thing that pops up in my feed is Peter Sagal of "Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me" defending the Harry Potter books. Insta-block.
I feel like Tosk from the Deep Space Nine episode "Captive Pursuit" when I am in Las Vegas for business: "I am sorry, I have no vices for you to exploit."
The voice of Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen, has died. This week sucks.
Two beloved 80 year olds have died, Dolly Parton and Tim Curry. They are not the 80 year old whose obituary we all want to read.
When one of the best of us dies while the literal worst of us continues to live, life can feel unfair.
When I am feeling very emotional, there is one man's music I can always turn to. Thanks, PG.
Leaving home for the first time and leaving her on her own for the first time. She will get to experience something her mother and I never did, as we were college commuters, and we are happy she has this opportunity.
We moved our daughter in to college today. So many feelings.
I don't know if this site is dying, but my interest in this site and all of social media is dying.
My favorite flights are the flights home. Kentucky is down below.
I picked up this little Pop Mart brick-bult set of a crazy orange fish in memory of my crazy orange fish, Diego. It will guard his ashes when they come home.
I was tempted by that Snoopy and Woodstock LEGO set when I saw it at Barnes & Noble, then I saw the Harry f'ing Potter sets right next to it and remembered my personal LEGO boycott. I'm satisfied with my little Pantasy Snoopy & Woodstock brick-built set.
My final drive with Diego. Pet Cremation by Water up in Arlington Heights does aqua cremation for small / exotic animals, not just dogs and cats. I brought Diego there this morning, so we'll have his ashes back with our other beloved pets who I hope are waiting for us in whatever is beyond.
Our well loved Oscar fish, Diego passed away this morning. I loved him very much and I am very sad.
Added "Woke 1" to my muted list. Timeline is all the better for it.
Diego has been through a rough week with a hospital tank, crashing, emergency move home, vet visit, tube feeding, injected antibiotics, and now salt treatment for his gills. He’s still very sick, but he’s still swimming, breathing, and fighting. I love my silly fish. #fish
Wyatt was confused why I am only lighting the home office with a table lamp. I told her dim lights help Diego rest and he needs it after his trip to the vet yesterday. #caturday
As I desperately try to heal Diego, my Oscar, I now have the same hatred for sports fishing that I do for sports hunting.
I love Cosmos. Cosmos was my favorite minibot. I've liked his all too-infrequent reimaginings, especially the Velocitron release. This version, however, is a pinheaded abomination.
