Today we worked with Leslie, our speech and language therapist, to learn about Colour Coded Phonics and where different sounds are made in our mouths 😀
🏆GOING FOR GOLD🏆 At long last @beancross.bsky.social have officially been awarded their GOLD Sports Scotland Award for their effort & commitment to developing sport within the school. We are now only the 7th school in Falkirk, including secondaries, to be award this level of School Sport Award.
Movie Afternoon 🎥🍿 We enjoyed watching Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone after reading the book in class. We used some of our enterprise profits to buy some movie snacks ☺️
Zoo Lab 🐍🕷️🪳 Today we received a special visit from @zoolabuk.bsky.social where we got to meet and touch some interesting creatures. We learned lots of cool facts about each of them, thanks to the very knowledgeable Ash 😁

We enjoyed playing different maths games to revise times tables and the addition of 2 and 3 digit numbers. 😀➕👏
We have been loving our maths stations . This week we have been adding and subtracting thousands, hundreds and tens and learning how to find the missing number to 100 with the jigsaw numbers approach 🧩➕➖😀

Phases of the Moon 🌒 This week we have been learning about the moon and its movements. Today we enjoyed recreating the phases of the moon using Oreos and got to eat some too 😋
As part of Practical Science STEM week we learned about dissolving. We were intrigued to find out what other materials dissolved and carried out some further experiments 🧑🔬 We tried dissolving coffee, salt, sugar and flour in both hot and cold water.
Cool Crystals 🧑🔬 Primary 4 have really enjoyed taking part in Practical Science STEM week. We carried out an experiment and made our own crystals.
