Book Week Scotland! Thanks to all those who came along to our book gifting event, came in to read to our pupils and donated books for our book swap. Oh and thanks to the Book Fairies for hiding some books for us to find. 📚🧚🏻♀️ @scottishbooktrust.bsky.social @slamannanht.bsky.social
We enjoyed tasting our yummy soup we helped to make this afternoon. We talked about the ingredients that were in it and if we liked it or not. Some children had more than one bowl! Nadine was so happy to see lots of lovely interactions at the table as she had some soup with us 🥣❄️🤍
We explored our snack, making faces. H ‘I made a sad face’ M ‘I did a happy one’ R ‘I made a O face’. We spoke about what else we could make into faces and chose pizza. We created a shopping list with ingredients we could use for facial features. H ‘sweetcorn for eyes’ M ‘we need cheese’

Children can wear the colour of their assembly house if they wish to. Please wear odd socks to recognise World Down Syndrome Day. Donations are welcome and will be split between the 2 charities.
