P2 started the new term by creating their Class Charter together π We looked at the UNCRC rights & talked about what each one meant. Next, they drew & wrote ideas of the rights they felt would be good to use in our Class Charter. Great discussions, ideas & teamwork P2 π#DunipaceUNCRC

Last Tuesday was our final house assembly of the year. A huge thank you to our current CaptaIns and Vice Captains, you have been wonderful. You are all ACE at Dunipace and were great ambassadors to our school. Well done π π Congratulations to this weeks and months winners. #article12 #UNCRCDunipace
P2 were so excited to see ladybirds emerge from their pupas in our Bug world this weekπππππ They slowly changed colour & developed their spots. Then they started to move around & eat. π±π #DunipaceScience
On World Oceans Day, P2 learned more about oceans, the threats facing them like pollution & how we help look after oceans & marine life. We also created our own sea creatures & ocean waves in Art ππ―π π #DunipaceScience
All our butterflies had emerged so we had a release party for them last week to watch them fly away. We've loved watching their lifecycle in class ππ¦π₯οΈπΈπΌ #DunipaceScience
P2 have their fingers crossed for Scotland in the World Cup π€π»π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ β½π€π»
P2 have learned about paper & plastic recycling. We watched Maddie Moat as she visited a recycling plant & showed us what happens. We think it's so clever that used printed on paper can be made into new clean paper ποΈπβ»οΈποΈ P2 then made posters to encourage our school to recycle more β»οΈ #DunipaceScience

P2 visited the nursery today to share their learning & factfiles about ladybirds, bees, worms & butterflies π¦πͺ±ππThe nursery children were so interested in listening to us & asked lots of questions. Well done P2 for sharing your learning ππ» Thank you @dunipacenursery.bsky.social π
P2 learned more about π¦ππͺ±π this week. They researched information & recorded it in their factfiles. We observed our ladybirds & noticed some of them are now in their pupas π #DunipaceIDL #DunipaceScience
Great excitement this week as 1 by 1 our butterflies emerged from their cocoons ππ¦ We were so lucky when the last one emerged today & we got to see it happening π We cut up some fruit & made nectar with sugar & water for the butterflies to enjoy #DunipaceScience

This P2 has been collecting bottles & other recyclable materials at home. He created this brilliant train using them & brought it in to show the class. Amazing upcycling! πππ» β»οΈπ
Our P2 ladybirds have arrived! We didn't recognise them as they're still tiny black larvae. P2 have observed throughout the week. Luckily their home has a microscope top to look through as they're so smallπ We learned about the ladybird lifecycle & created our own ladybirds too #DunipaceScience
Our caterpillars were all in their chrysalis stage last week. We carefully moved them into their pop up net. P2 were interested to see what was left in the cup once they'd moved out! We filled in the our caterpillar diary too. We can't wait to see them emerge as butterflies ππ¦ #DunipaceScience
We learned more about different food groups using the Eatwell Plate. We know food gives us energy & helps our body to grow & be strong. We played games to sort foods into the 5 main food groups. Then we planned our own healthy lunchboxes πππ«ππ₯πππ§ππ₯ #DunipaceHWB #DunipaceHealthWeek
P2 had a brilliant Health Week of learning πππΆ On Thursday we had a brilliant time doing some more circuit exercises. Then we had some bouncy fun on the inflatable π#DunipaceHWB #DunipaceHealthWeek

P2 had a brilliant Health Week of learning πππΆ ππ₯π§ Tuesday was a dance workshop. We did a warm up & then learned some dance moves. Then we made carrot & apple muffins. Teamwork to read the recipe, measure ingredients, chop, mix & grate. The best part was eating themπ #DunipaceHWB #DunipaceHealthWeek
