I can confirm the experience: Using Codex for areas with little experience, LLM code assistants are a game changer. But even in areas close to my expertise, they speed up drafting a lot. For now, I am reviewing changes line by line in either case.
I have found claude code tremendously empowering for working in areas where I have little experience. Yes, these are somewhat vibe coded (they are low stakes) but they do have unit tests, and it turns out that I can mostly understand go and swift code with little effort.
