This is only right take here. E.g. college-educated adults- staff members and teachers at a public school- get asked as an icebreaker to make up a poem or a drawing or something creative to express themselves, and THEY USE CHATGPT TO SPIT OUT A NONSENSE LIMERICK UGGHH Be a human. Reject AI.

If you want to build community, don’t use gen AI. Instead of asking ChatGPT ask your librarian, friend, neighbor or your long distant cousin twice removed. Put your human noggin together and create! Human connection can be more inconvenient and time-consuming but you end up with so much more.

No one’s calling it Lake America. “Lake America” is what you name a summer camp for soft children who say, “Don’t you know who my father is?” after a t-ball stand strikes them out

Spider-man in the movies: Spider-Man is a fun, lighthearted super hero who has realistic struggles with day-today life! Spider-man in the comics: the most miserable person in existence. He is here to S U F F E R

I think it will surprise no one to hear me praising Phoebe Bridgers' new album. But you guys, Lost Weekend is transcendent. She's done it again. And I will be listening to this album on repeat for the next month.

Updating the artwork on our walls around the house is such a fun experiment in Tetris-ing frames on limited wall space. Fun, though. I highly recommend it.

I really wish GOP bootlickers would take the same enthusiasm for persecuting Fauci and apply it to exposing corruption in this administration... Or the Epstein files... or literally any member of the Trump family... But no, tell me more about how important it is to harass an actual scientist.

Watching last night's game on television felt like witnessing a miracle happening live. You mean to tell me the Mariners lit up an all-star starter, hit multiple home runs, and held the lead against the Dodgers IN THEIR STADIUM? They haven't won a game in L.A. since Griffey was on the team. Wild.
