I just caught up with news and read about USS Abraham Lincoln. Grim stuff. And if things get worse it will actually have repercussions for us here in Philippines. Once again we are pawns left vulnerable by two forces playing god.

It's been 11 days of rain and my mood has gone as gray as the sky. But tonight, I am putting on something pretty and is watching a striptease show with my girlfriends! The only thing missing is a drink on my hand with your name on it. Make my Friday a lot more sweet?

I keep forgetting to post my social calendar because my regulars keep me busy 🙃 But I'll be in Metro Manila August 25-30, with room left for a new chapter or two. I can host, I can visit. You bring the plot, I'll help inspire. Let's write something worth remembering.

It's so nice being a regular of any establishment. I had 5 hours of dance practice last night so i woke up groggy today. Walked to the cafe near my place with my eyes half open and the staff asked me immediately if I am getting my usual (black, no sugar). I didn't had to speak.

I have a 5 million php short term goal. Which is a substantial amount. But if I think of it as just "oh it's just 81-82 x 1000USD" it doesn't seem so much at all. It's just money. Plenty of ways to make it.

Ever wanted to be the gentleman behind one of my stories? The dive torch that lights my way underwater. ₱9,000 The flowers that greet me when I get home. ₱1,000 The makeup I wear before stepping on stage. ₱6,000 The DAN insurance that lets me keep exploring the sea. ₱8,600

The Odyssey and Greek mythology were the first “serious” books I ever read. I discovered them in elementary school while waiting after class for my mom, who was chronically late to pick us up. The library became my waiting room, and Odysseus, Achilles, and Athena kept me company.

Today, during a cleanup and survey dive, I was so focused on documenting marine debris that a sea turtle had to get my attention the old-fashioned way. It swam up, whacked me with its front flipper, then disappeared into the blue like nothing had happened. Unfortunately, no one got it on video.

It’s the first time I've come back from several days at sea, opened social media and been greeted by good news. Usually I open this app and is greeted by the bad. Turns out while I was away, Argentina lost and Andrew Tate was arrested.

Filipinos were called "monkeys" (derogatory) by state backed Chinese media today. I'd like to remind them that their civilization spent 500 years writing about a monkey that couldn't be imprisoned, killed, or ruled.

We lost Dr. Kent Carpenter over a senseless robbery and murder in his house in Negros Oriental. His Filipina partner was also assaulted. The guy loved our ocean as much as he loved us Filipina ladies. He did a lot for our ocean conservation efforts- more than some Filipinos. It's such a big loss.

I find it very funny that China says we're aggressors when we're simply defending our right to sail and fish in our own economic zone...and us, aggressors?!?!?! Have you seen Filipinos?!?!?! We're so chill as a nation!?!?!?

I came across the idea that when people don’t have a strong sense of purpose, they’re more likely to pour that energy into romantic obsession. I don’t know if it’s universally true, but it made me pause.

We returned to where my story began. Today was spent filming the full video version of The Companion’s Notebook for YouTube. Watching a small team of brilliant gay creatives bring this strange little dream to life was one of those moments I’ll carry with me for a long time.

Fifteen years in the sexy business means I've survived the after math of the 2008 recession, multiple natural disasters, the rise of Smartphones and dating apps, a pandemic, post pandemic inflation and now the AI boom.
