Yesterday was a weird day. My dad that I'm no contact with messaged me out of nowhere with this meme. The last time he reached out was January with a video of our favorite oldies song (Battle of New Orleans). I just wish I knew why he sent this and didn't respond afterwards.

Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same. Life is probably going to get harder for awhile. But I hope it's for the better in the long run. I'm really at my limits for what I'm willing to endure.
Caught this friend sunning themselves in my backyard. Between the garter snake last week and the wolf spider almost as big as my thumb yesterday, I think my backyard has a thriving ecosystem! Let me know if you wanna see pics/video of Wolfy!

We went to the Denver Botanical Gardens for Father's Day, and I got to see my favorite UV reactive flower. From purple to white depending upon the amount of UV light they receive. (These are actually a wildflower)

What do you call it when you tell someone that you do not feel emotionally safe and they continue to scream at you while you are crying?
Reminding myself today and everyday that my emotional and physical safety and well-being are important. I deserve to feel emotionally safe and physically safe. Just for being a human.
