My picture of the day. So happy to see snow back on our peaks. Last winter was horrible with so little snow. Most folks don’t realize how many people downstream get water from Colorado’s snowpack

My picture of the day. My idea of bliss - my old Bronco, using the tailgate as a table and there’s a tent 20 feet away high in the Colorado Mtns. I miss every part of this picture

My picture of the day. Hagia Sophia from a slightly different angle. The sights in Istanbul are amazing but uniqueness of an adventure in Türkiye is getting out to small villages. Actually, that’s true anywhere. Cities of the world are more like each other than their small villages

My picture of the day. I’m a huge Star Trek fan and last month while in Montreal, we did a side trip to Ticonderoga to see the Original Star Trek sets. Here are the before after, during and after shots of our travel.

My picture of the day. Okay more than 1 but it’s a bear so three is appropriate. While in Teton NP, I was sitting on the porch of of the Ranger station as a bear wandered by. I sat there watching and taking pics. Then a ranger yelled “Get In the Building!!”. It’s just a black bear - geeze

My picture of the day. Billboard for a nightclub (I’m guessing) in Albania. Nightcap anyone? I remember seeing ads like this in Romania and Bulgaria in 93-94

My picture of the day. Even though I have mobility issues, I still take out new pup out for walks. Little guy has figured out the cheat code for walks. He just climbs onto the scooter floorboard and when something is interesting, he gets off, checks it out and climbs back on.

My picture of the day. Nothing brings a smile like a puppy. This is Perchick - which means pepper in Russian - and he’s been with us 4 days and on earth about 12 weeks.

My picture of the day. 36 years ago, Desert Shield started which eventually became Desert Storm. I think it was the Red Cross that gave us things like this along with toiletries and other things. Still have this deck.

Happy birthday to an cultural icon that spurred many to take up careers in science and medicine, addressed cultural issues that could be viewed in space but not on our own planet, and which gave us hope that we can do better. Also, gave us a safety briefing on the dangers of wearing a Red Shirt.
