Wikis and Souls games have trained everyone to care about the equivalent to in universe drama more than the actual story being told or what the game is trying to say. Who was friends with who 20 years ago doesn't fucking matter. One character being aware of another doesn't matter.

It really annoys me how people treat LORE as this vital crucial thing when it's either just completely inconsequential shit that would change nothing if it wasn't there or hints at things you would experience anyways. Deltarune fans have gotten really bad about this.
