Some people say the 1980s hit “We Built This City” by Starship is the worst pop song ever created. I must have terrible taste 🤔because I think it is a banger. Every time I hear it, I wanna get on a flight to San Francisco. Like tonight😂. The Golden Gate calls to me…

It’s Mountain Monday! Today’s view takes us to an unknown valley in Montana. I can still hear the sound of the breeze in the trees and the splashing creek as the water flows to the sea. May your week be as peaceful as this quiet, seemingly undiscovered, valley.

A creek flows over rocks as it snakes its way down a mountain valley. The rocky brown creek bank is shown on the left of the photo. On both sides, tall pine trees line the creek. A mountain rises in the back left of the photo. The sky is partly sunny with some pillowy white clouds shown.

This thread 👇, while a bit long, is well worth the read to the end. Lots of topics touched on, including consent, testing, health, safety, etc 🥵. Thank you to Evie for putting this together ❤️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

"casual" sex does not mean careless. Care-less = you could care less. Why would you want to have sex with someone "who could care less" about you. THINK ABOUT ITTTTTT.

It’s Mountain Monday, on a Wednesday instead because I’m a bit chaotic and disorganized 😂. And I just want to share this pic. Love how the mountain reflects perfectly on the peaceful lake. May peace and ❤️ surround you today!

A few gray stone, partially snow covered, rugged mountains rise above the thick pine tree forest. There is a calm, blue lake in the foreground, and a gray mountain almost perfectly reflects off the clear surface of the lake. The sky is a completely clear light blue.

As Chicago wheezes under a smoky sky tonight, I think of clear skies, clean air, and views for miles. While many summer nights are smoggy here in Chicago due to human activity, my hope is the wildfires subside and we can all breathe a bit easier.

A distant mountain range covered in the shadow of sunset rises in the background. In the foreground, flat farm fields stretch for miles. The sunset illuminates the clouds with yellow, orange, and light blue hues.

Holy smokes! It is really smoky here in Chicago today. Thinking of all the people impacted by wildfires, the environment, firefighters doing their best, and my friends and neighbors here in Chicago impacted by smog. I hope everyone is safe, healthy, and rain falls on the fire areas soon!

It’s Mountain Monday on a Tuesday! I was passing through in the early morning on a trail out west and found this view. While I love Chicago, part of me wishes I had the peace and tranquility of this beautiful mountain home nestled in the trees. May you have peace too!

A small log cabin rises out of a thick forest of pine trees. Mountains and hills are seen in the background, and the light of dawn awakens the forest.

I’ve recently done a lot of driving lately across rural areas of the USA for vacation. I was in a tiny conservative town, and I stopped at the local coffee shop. This was so unexpected I had to take a pic. Consent is indeed hot ❤️🔥… and important! Love to see it!

A picture of a coffee shop counter. There is an espresso coffee bean grinder that has a red coffee cup holder taped to it that reads “Consent Is Hot”. The rest of the counter has usually coffee items and a bowl of dog biscuits as treats for furry friends.

It’s Mountain Monday! I’m not a golfer, but I had dinner a while ago at a golf course with a buddy of mine I hadn’t seen in years. Good to catch up, and I loved the golden hour views of the course and mountains as storms moved out. Friendship & beautiful mountains = perfection!

A picture overlooking a golf course green. There’s a small pond to the left, and groups of trees clustered together in the golf course. In the distance, several mountains rise and are bathed in the golden sunlight of a setting sun. The sky is mostly cloudy as a storm is moving out. However, there’s just enough sky clearing to have the golden light.

Happy Birthday Kelly! She does so much for her community and Seattle is blessed to have her presence. While any day is a great day to celebrate Kelly, I encourage you make her birthday extra special with gift$$$!

It’s Mountain Monday! I‘m finding the road I’m on isn’t exactly straight 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ and may be headed in a new direction. Sometimes what’s on the road ahead you can’t see or predict. There’s opportunity and trepidation for the future. I hope you have some fellow travelers supporting you on your journey!

A two lane country road curves off to the right in foreground. Just beyond the road, a field of green stretches out. A hazy, partially snow covered mountain range rises beyond the field. The sky is clear blue with a few puffy cumulus clouds dotting the sky.

It’s Mountain Monday! However, today I have a pic of a bunny nest my dog found on a walk in a park this weekend. No worries, my dog was on a leash and didn’t get close. No bunnies were harmed, and I left them undisturbed. Even in a massive urban center like Chicago, nature’s beauty is present❤️

It’s a picture of several small baby bunnies crowded in a nest. The nest is surrounded by tall grass and chucks of wood shavings. The bunnies are camouflaged well and barely visible.

It’s always Pride Month on my laptop 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️! There are many in our community who are struggling today. Pride is protest against the systems of oppression and bigotry that work to marginalize people. You matter, and I stand beside you today, during Pride, and in the future. Love to all 🙏❤️💙💜

Picture of a gray laptop covered in stickers. One sticker has a rainbow flag and says “The Future Is Inclusive”. There is a second circular sticker shown of a mountain scene in the colors of the bisexual pride flag. There’s also a sticker of an American Airlines jet and part of a sticker of the Space Needle in Seattle.

It’s Mountain Monday, now on a Tuesday due to Memorial Day. Today’s view takes us to the side of a high desert road with distant mountains in view. Not really sure where this was taken, but there’s something magical about taking a drive and seeing views you may not ever see again. Road trips ✅ 😀

Two distant tree covered and rounded mountains rise in the middle of the picture. In the foreground, a flat, brown, grassy field lays at the side of a road. The field gives way to forest at the other end and the mountains in the distance. It’s a perfectly clear, sunny day and the view looks like it could stretch for miles.

I’m a pacifist and believe diplomacy is the way to settle differences between us. However, I have many friends and family who have served. I honor the sacrifices of those who have been lost and those who remain grieving today. If you are grieving today, know that I support you and wish you care ❤️🕯️🙏

A picture of a cemetery with unmarked tombstones and USA national flags at every tombstone.

Tough session with my therapist today. The challenges with my family members continue to grow, and the pain of a childhood I tried to escape is returning. If you find yourself in this same place, my ❤️ goes out to you 🙏🫂 with love. May the storm clouds of today pass and clear skies arrive tomorrow!

A picture of a mountain valley as storm clouds depart and the sun sets in a clear sky in the distance. There is a mountain covered in green trees that rises on the left. A dirt street with several cars parked and surrounded by log cabins sits in the bottom of the valley in the center. Gray storm clouds fill the sky at the top of the photo, and the sunset casts an orange glow in the sky in the distance.

It’s Mountain Monday! Enjoy this view from Olympic National Park near Seattle taken several years ago (before the fire at Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center). The winter snow is melting, making its way for the warmth and flowers of summer. Wishing you a wonderful week!

The snow covered tops of the Olympic Mountains form a line across the middle of the picture. Above the mountains, the sky is a crystal clear blue. The mountains rise from the valley and are tree covered most of the way up. In the foreground right, a field of green grass slopes gently down to the valley below.
