There's already a 100% chance that some US kids have been sexually abused in the name of "screening" them. So I'm going to go ahead and say that obsession with kids' genitalia needs to be an automatic and obvious disqualifier from policymaking.

Also, obviously, many recovery advocates aren't vultures. The vast majority of hr folks aggressively advocate to expand access to treatment, most recovery works hand-in-hand with hr, and some--but far from all--people can't get out of chaotic use unless they abstain. Call 'em recovery jays.

This has been more or less where my worldview has settled: sex is "real" inasmuch as it is a function of how it is measured. Both sides of the ruler give lengths, but not the same numbers. The push for an essentialist binary hampers the ability to describe the world to no offsetting benefit.
