Looking at history... where did an example of colonialism ever evolve to benefit the people being colonized? For that matter where did it ever benefit the every day person in the country from which came the colonist? Cheaper sugar and rum? Did their individual income and wealth increase?

Has anyone specifically asked Trump to lead a prayer? Seriously? I know he has been prayed for... prayed on... etc... but I have never, ever once heard him lead a prayer or give any speech indicating at least a minimal understanding of christianity.

We focus on the threat being GOP but it's much more complicated. Trump has tapped into a hodgepodge mixture of long time government skeptics, Q-anon, anti-vax, and chem trail conspiracists. People unhappy and willing to blame whoever. A collective rage with no political ideology to counter.
