Gettysburg College has an excellent MA program in American history. There are many courses devoted to American social movements over time, not just broad survey courses. There is considerable scope for customization (I was drawn to legal and military history).

I am delighted that two of my poems were published in Ionosphere 3:2 (2026). They are titled "Emissaries" and "Gods Descend." It is interesting to see how diverse authors tackle issues of environmental and social change in our era.
I think that there is still much scope to explore ancient Greek myths using modern poetic forms. My poem "Rogue Titan" explores the interaction between Heracles and Prometheus, two figures who represent very different worldviews.
I am delighted to have (another) Silver Honorable Mention in the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Contest. This story was science fiction and light horror. I was concerned that the judges would be put off by the darker plot twists, but that was not the case.

My fictional story "Damu's Final Lament" was just published in Enheduanna 7 (2024): 93-105. It is based on several versions of a Mesopotamian myth. A cult of Damu existed since the UR III period (22nd-21st century BCE).

The "Writers of the Future" contest is run quarterly. It is open to authors who have no, or few, professional publications. Since there is no entry fee, the competition is fierce. I am happy to have a Silver Honorable Mention for a short story inspired by mythology.
For those Scouts who reached the rank of Eagle Scout, the National Eagle Scout Association offers life memberships that connect members and gives something back. Scouting has reformed to welcome many that were previously excluded.
Delighted to get an honorable mention in an extremely competitive prize.
