Indie game dev. Wishlist DeckTerra on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3760980/
I just added a huge visual feature to my 4X deckbuilding game. The merchant will now sell themed booster packs. These packs can be - new worker cards to help your city grow - unit attack cards to assist in combat - one of many resource-themed booster packs So stoked for this
Updated the shop in my indie 4X Game In the shop, you can - Buy booster packs to get new cards - Remove cards from your deck - Trade gold for science, faith, growth, and other resources This should definitely make the game more interesting
I just made a huge change to my 4X game Units will now revolt when you don't have enough command points. Command points are gained from: - new cities - leveling up existing cities - building military buildings such as forts and barracks This will really level up the combat
In my 4X game, your cities will procedurally get larger as you level them up Players will be able to feel like their settlements are growing as their empire grows in size This is one of the most satisfying parts of 4x games, hoping players will appreciate the sense of scale
A playtester discovered an issue with the title screen in my 4X game and... I'm at a loss for words...
Introducing the tutorial guide for my 4X game: 👑 The King 👑 He will guide you during your first game of DeckTerra
Sometimes in game dev it's okay to steal ideas. I added this button on the side to hide the "choose card" popup in my 4X deck building game. Can anyone identify what game this is from? Bonus points if you can
Here's a stupid bug in my 4X game. The fireball is flying around the world off screen to the right Can anyone guess why this is happening?
My indie 4X game just became a lot more readable. - Added a spinning clock animation for turn passing - The button in the bottom-left now has text - More guidance for players on their next required action This is sure to give players more clarity about what their next focus is
Quick update to the selected tile indicator in my indie 4x game, now it glows 🌟
Two BIG changes to my indie 4X game: * Labour cards are now played on cities * Units are now moved with "move" cards, and attack using "attack" cards. This is a huge improvement to the game's feel, and will hopefully make sense to more players. #gamedev #indiegame
