I receive a handful of drive-by AI PRs per week. I've decided to start rejecting ones from accounts which seem to target issues across dozens of unrelated projects. I don't know if they're trying to pad their resume, or claim broad experience, but I'm not interested in participating.

GitHub Actions is down *again*. I can't do this anymore. What are people switching to? I need Linux+Mac+Windows support, GitHub or Gerrit integration, and all the usual: secrets, webhooks, logs, etc. For context, we already have scalable machines for all OSes via @namespacelabs.com.

This is a fun one: I just sent go.dev/cl/790740, which elides method wrappers for embedded types at offset zero, common for mixins/inherited data types. Doing this removes 60 _thousand_ method wrappers from tsgo's AST package, dropping the compilation of our main exe from 49s to 28s on my machine.

It really does feel like GitHub is getting worse by the day. Now I regularly get bogus "invalid value" label errors when the label clearly exists and works.

It just dawned on me that "firm"ware is someplace between software and hardware.

Stared at my screen for a good while, not understanding why a git diff didn't git apply when it obviously should. Turns out Discord turns tabs into spaces when you send code snippets, even inside triple quotes 🙄 As a workaround, use git apply --ignore-whitespace.

The issue with GitHub Actions used to be its poor design. Nowadays it's down so often, that I don't even get to think about that at all.
