As Stroke Awareness Month comes to a close, I keep coming back to this photo. That’s my grandfather… a WWII veteran, proud Spurs fan, and one of the toughest people I’ve ever known. After a stroke, he spent his later years in a nursing home, but he never lost that Spurs spirit.
