It's Sheptember! A month for working dogs! I'm slightly part German Shepherd on my dad's side. But all retriever otherwise. What sort of retriever? Um... Golden and Labrador and Nova Scotian and Tennis Ball!
Concerts by major artists that I'll admit to going to: Weird Al (x3) Disturbed Alice Cooper Rob Zombie Caravan Palace Upcoming, though, I'm taking my mom to see Gaelic Storm this week, which I'm really looking forward to! And then Carbon Leaf later this month.
Since I had leftover ingredients from the quesadillas last night, I made myself a couple of small pressed burritos this morning. The panini press works so well for it and is really super adjustable. I prefer Sonoran style tortillas, though, and need to remind myself of that when I'm at the store.
"Ah yes, as a responsible home cook I make only the healthiest... " Upcoming menu: Chicken Quesadillas w/ Ranch Beans Hamblurglers w/ Baked Beans Grilled Pork Spareribs w/ Hashbrown casserole and corn on the cob. I mean, it could be worse, but it is what the Fam wants.
Sure I dream of being a herding dog working with a shepherd and their flock. But being from retriever stock puts me at a slight disadvantage. What do you mean we don't play fetch with the sheep? And I'm only barking a little bit! What? I'm just excited!
P.S. If you looking for me on that new service... Yes I'm on Mastodon! Oh wait, you mean that alternate unharmonious application? Nah, I'm good. Also, I don't see how they can afford to run it as it scales upward, especially if they intend it for more than the furry community.
The only way that I'll vote for a former law enforcement officer is if they got rid of all those one-off "Bad Apples" they keep talking about. If not, then they will forever have the stink of rot on them. You can't save the good apples without first throwing out the bad ones.

A diaper!?‽ No! These are Training Pants! You know, for big pups! Like me! See! No tapes! And they got Bluey on them! And Bluey is for big kids, not babies! What? They make... Bluey... diapers? Why? Babies don't understand Bluey! They're BAAAYBIEEES! Sheesh...
I really wish that more people in the abdl community actually thought about the larger littles and the struggle to find cute things that fit comfortably, or at all. It's far better than it used to be for product selection, for sure. But I still see the bias that's made me feel "not cute" so often.
So, uh, Bluesky... What's the point of having the ability to post longer videos if your site stops loading, or takes forever to load, on a regular basis? Who was actually asking for that instead of hosting the videos on, you know, dedicated video hosting sites and linking here like everyone else?
Picked up a couple bottles of rhum today since I was near what has to be the best rum shop in this area. I think I'm going to aim to only pick up one new bottle each month. (Plus a special bottle here and there.) That'll still mean I'm getting a new-to-me agricole for at least a year.

I picked up some freeze-dried peach slices as I've been in a peach much lately. But the flavor makes me want to pair them with this matcha-infused genmaicha I got on sale last week. They'll pair super nicely!
I drink sparkling water a lot, mostly Costco brand, but I try others from time to time. Spindrift /should/ be optimal for me, as I enjoy adding lime juice to my waters. But I found most of their flavors lacking. But the Tea ones are nice, and this Ginger Lime is nicely satisfying.
The moment I took a break from reading my ereader rebooted to update. Spooky.

Took my mom to see The Odyssey this evening. I found it a very engaging and accessible retelling. And Nolan is good at getting those visuals! And some of the sound design is genius! Definitely IMAX worthy.

I've been doing a bit better lately, new med seems to be helping, but today was a pile of butts. Not bad, exactly, but everything took, like, quadruple the energy. I thought I was going to crash quickly, but as soon as I started winding down... boom! Brain going 147 mph with no brakes.
