If I had one wish, I'd ask to be a fly on the pearly gates. A whole lot of very old Republicans who gave up even the pretense of standing for anything in return for money and power are all going to get some very bad news as those gates. I'd be willing to be a fly if it meant I could see their faces.

When the state of the country gets me down, I soothe myself by remembering that every day we get through takes us 24 hours closer to the inevitable day when we'll get the huge headline we've been waiting for.

Everyone’s expectations got skewed over the past week but Abdul El-Sayed getting $70 million spent against him in a state he lost a primary by like 20 points eight years ago and still winning last night is probably the most impressive electoral accomplishment of the decade.

Susan Collins announcing she'll vote against a controversial nominee is basically the moment it becomes clear that nominee will be confirmed. It means Thune has enough votes to confirm, and thus, Collins gets a pass to look independent.

"Bessent: US could reach deal with Iran to reopen strait of Hormuz by tomorrow" -Guardian headline "Could" is such a great, and near meaningless word. Besent "could" do up his genital area with clown make-up, cleverly arranged so his wiener is the clown's nose, by tomorrow. See? Great word.

Whatever spin you put on the McConnell situation, one thing is absolutely clear; 49 missed votes and zero communication; Mitch doesn't give one tiny little shit about his constituents, and he never has. My guess is he's been dead for some time, but it's not like he'd care less if he was alive.

It’s important to understand that when 1.2 million Americans are dying from a disease, any government action is excessive and tyrannical, but if a dozen trans women want to play soccer no government action can go far enough

www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026... So MAGA (there's no GOP anymore) Is gonna confirm a man as AG who has quite literally broken the law every single day since becoming acting AG. I guess that pairs well with a boss found guilty of 34 felonies. MAGA isn't soft on crime. They're hard for it.

The diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.

The Diarrhea Lettuce Company Has Been Linked to Forced Labor

The lettuce-producing Taylor Farms was linked to the widespread use of prison labor before its involvement in a cyclospora outbreak.

Max Miller released audio recordings of conversations he has with his ex wife. In one of them, she accuses him of clandestinely recording their conversations. “I have never recorded our conversations” he says, while recording their conversation. This is domestic violence. Ask me how I know.

Navalny, in prison: “I don’t for a second regret it… the only thing we should fear is we’ll surrender our homeland to be plundered by a gang of liars, thieves & hypocrites. That we will surrender without a fight, voluntarily, our own future and the future of our children.”
