Bangor ME, Verizon vs T-Mobile Dumped Spectrum for the home -> T-Mobile 5G. Surprisingly much faster than Verizon -> 50-70Mbps and T-Mobile -> 180-200Mbps. Good enough. Conventional wisdom in this area was that Verizon had the best coverage. Saving $20/mo on monthly charge too!

Increasing the user base only increases expenses. Unless ads are added. There is a common VC exit strategy for social media web sites: sell the company based up the user base size. In this case attracting people will generate a bigger sell price. One could take the CEOs comments to indicate this.

As far as I can tell there are three paths for Bluesky to make money: 1. Subscriptions along with ads so people can make money like on Twitter. 2. Sell Bluesky to conservatives. 3. Franchise Bluesky for private spaces, especially businesses.

At best conservatives will create something like blacksky, a private PDS, say consky. They will be able to "not moderate" it and allow bullying to their hearts content. But, they already have Twitter. This "consky" would be redundant. Why would they?

Conservatives live in bubbles, echo chambers of 100% conservative thinking except for liberal strawman arguments of their own delusions. Given conservatives and liberals don't congregate in news media spaces it is utter arrogance to think they will somehow magically want to do so on Bluesky.

Here's a challenge for the new Bluesky CEO. Name one, just one, conservative media news outlet that liberals consume because of the conservative content is respectable. Just one. On the other hand, conservatives are constantly consuming liberal media.
